PDF Imposer is a full featured imposition plug-in for Adobe Acrobat. The PDF Imposer plug-in allows the user to perform the imposition functions commonly required in A4 and A3 black-and-white digital printing. PDF Imposer works entirely with PDF format and does not require the imposed document to be printed on a Postscript printer; it can be printed on any printer for which a driver is available.
Main features are:
The plug-in works on a PDF file that is open in Adobe Acrobat.
The plug-in changes the document in memory after which it can be printed or stored in its imposed form.
The sizes and/or positions of the logical pages in the PDF file may be changed. Several PDF pages may be arranged side-by-side on the same sheet of paper.
Main uses include:
Make booklets or signatures.
Assemble covers.
Print several copies of the same document side-by-side.
Print one copy spread across several stacks.
Benefits to the user:
One can indicate to Acrobat that the changes are temporary, so it will not prompt you to save changes to the document when you close it, or the imposed document can be saved to a different file.
Job-ticket files, which contain all the information for imposing the document, can be created and saved.
